Things to Do
We understand many of our guests will be coming in from out of state and we are so grateful for you all making the trek. We've included a longer than usual list of things to do in case any of you are extending your stay in the Sunshine State.
De León Springs State Park
Stetson Mansion
Yes, the Stetson hats. A Gilded Age Estate and the grandest Florida home built in the 19th century. (Did we mention Mary forces everyone to go see historic sites?) They also have an award winning Christmas display.
Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp
For our more adventurous guests looking to make spiritual connections.
30-45 Minutes from Deland
Wekiva Island
A local Central Floridian staple. A riverside bar with a great food truck. Rent a canoe, kayak, or paddle board and travel on up the Wekiva River. This is the real Florida. Make sure to toast to Mary's mom, this was her favorite watering hole.
Historic Downtown Sanford
Ben and Mary's favorite weekend outing. A historic downtown full of amazing restaurants, bars, breweries, and murals. Grab a pint (let's be a real, a liter) at Hollerbach's or stop in at The Sullivan, their favorite Irish Pub.
New Smyrna Beach
Daytona Beach Main Street Pier

Downtown Winter Park
A lovely upscale downtown with great shops, restaurants, and bars.
Universal Studios Florida
Ben and Mary's preferred tourist attraction (and actually in Orlando).
Ben's Favorite: VelociCoaster
Mary's Favorite: Everything Harry Potter. Grab a brew at the Hogshead during sunset on the back patio, you won't regret it.
Disney World
Allegedly the happiest place on earth. Jury is still out on that.
Historic St Augustine
Mary's favorite city in Florida, coincidentally the oldest city in the US. If you're staying in Florida for longer than the wedding weekend, we HIGHLY recommend making a daytrip up here. During the holidays, they have their annual Nights of Lights display, it is a must see.
